Human Factors/Ergonomics is the discipline that studies how humans interact with technology and how technology affects human performance, particularly in regard to safety and efficiency.

Houston HFES

We are a growing group of academic and industry professionals practicing in and around Houston, Texas. Practitioners, students, and academicians with interests in human factors, ergonomics, or related areas are encouraged to join the chapter and participate in its activities.

Our goal is twofold:

1. Promote the growth and understanding of human factors and ergonomics in the local community, which includes the general public, local businesses, and other professional organizations in the greater Houston region.

2. Provide a setting for human factors/ergonomics professionals to share information and network with others in the field.
