Vision of the Houston Chapter of Human Factors and Ergonomics Society
Growth - Grow the size and diversity of our membership, build a dues paying base of committed members, understand that we all have similar needs and endeavor to meet those needs.
Outreach - Communicate with the world around us about the need for Human Factors and Ergonomics, build relationships with other local professional societies and local universities
Education - Provide a method to exchange ideas, keep up to date with current research, innovations and standards.
Activities of the Chapter
Annual Conference and Business meeting - a vital part of the chapter’s year, a full day of focus on the chapter.
Regular meetings - a few hours spent together at least 3 times a year, in varied locations, with varied topics.
Facilitate communications - provide a mechanism for members to exchange information and ideas, we are currently using a Yahoo! Group as solution to this.
